Move over Fiction, there’s a brand new club that’s all the rage with first-year students in Toronto: the Circle K at Yonge and Shuter Street that doesn’t ask for identification (ID).

Students have been seen flocking to the spot at all hours of the night, with beer, wine, cider and other ready-to-drink beverages in hand.

“It’s, like, the place to be right now,” touted Ava White, a first-year Nutrition student and regular at the new spot. “Everyone who’s anyone is going. They don’t even charge cover.”

Though popular, White warns students to stay alert.

“Nine times out of ten they don’t card, but when this one employee Ammar is working, they sometimes do.”

“But that’s like, part of the thrill tbh,” she added.

With the Ford government’s move to permit the sale of alcohol in convenience stores, there’s a world of new options for underage boozers. Rumor has it there’s even an INS Market in The Annex that sells hard liquor under the table.
