TORONTO, CA— A student is in critical condition and four others are injured after an attack by a crazed “therapy dog” at Toronto’s Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU)

The canine, a Yorkshire Terrier named “Tinkerbell,” viciously attacked the five students and went on to terrorize the Podium (POD) building for the consecutive four hours before being sedated by campus police.

”The thing was going fucking crazy, I had to hide behind the counter at the ServiceHub,” says Amesh Sherap, a third-year History student.

”It wasn’t all bad, I played Merge Melons on my phone while we waited for the lockdown to end,” he added. “Got to 7000 points.”

Patrice Devereaux, a line cook at the Hub Cafe, is being celebrated as a hero by many on social media after footage of her attempt to subdue the unruly dog went viral.

“I heard the barking and screaming and something just came over me,” Devereaux said. “I grabbed my cast iron skillet and just started wailing on that mutt.”

”I hit it 10 or 12 times on the ass,” she continued. “But God ain’t put the quit in that dog.”

”She’s so brave,” wrote X user @doglover6969. “Don’t get me wrong, I’m vehemently against animal abuse, but y’know, there’s a limit… #pawsoffpatrice” they continued.

There have been calls to dismiss Devereaux for her actions, but the university administration has no plans of doing so.

”We haven’t made a decision in regards to what to do with Devereaux, but we will not be laying her off,” said a TMU spokesperson. “We were thinking something more in the ‘medal of honor’ area.”
