Why does TMU have so many pits? While we try to answer that question, here’s a ranking of TMU’s top five pits.
5. The pit that will one day swallow up Kerr Hall
There’s not much to say about this pit, seeing as it has yet to materialize. At least once it does appear, no one will have to get lost in Kerr Hall ever again.
4. Pitman Hall
Pitman Hall gets more points because it actually exists, but not many more. Leave for the dark, hot, and smelly hallways, leave for the flooding, and leave some more for the dining hall slop.
3. The Pit of Despair
At least the ever-present pit of despair never served me alfredo sauce without pasta.
2. Lake Devo
It’s just like TMU to call a shallow, dirty pit with no water in it a lake. But on the rare occasion it is clean or being used as a hockey rink it’s kinda nice. Plus you can cut through it to get to the Victoria Street Tim’s faster.
1. IMA pit
This pit is a lounge in the basement of the Image Arts building, which gives it an air of exclusivity. Loses points for being in a dark basement, but ultimately wins number one pit at TMU cause it has some nice couches.
