Project Blue Lock founder Ego Jinpachi announced on Wednesday that the program will be expanding internationally, starting at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).

This will be Jinpachi’s first international project following his success in Japan.

Jinpachi’s TMU-based project will focus on creating “the greatest striker at TMU for the next OUA season.”

Many students at TMU, however, are concerned about Project Blue Lock’s arrival due to past controversies surrounding it.

Second-year business and finance student William Chang regularly attends TMU Bold men’s soccer matches. Chang is worried about the main character syndrome the project may produce.

“Look, I don't know what happens in Project Blue Lock, but 18-year-olds should not be summoning lions with their sheer aura," said Chang.

Critics of Jinpachi claim the Blue Lock Program turns “very nice young men” into “self-centred brats”.

Jinpachi claims that these are the necessary stepping stones to creating great soccer players.

“The best striker is the player with the biggest ego,” said Jinpachi.
